The description says it is for a 66inch frame. Can I get an exact dimension on overall width of the unit?

Hey George, the Lippert 2" Accessory Receiver Hitch # LC78DX is exactly 66 inches wide overall as it is designed to fit a frame that is exactly 66 inches wide measured from inside to inside. This hitch is actually designed to fit the Coachmen Apex RV frames that have hitch tabs and isn't a multi-fit hitch. So if you have a different RV what you'd want is something like the Curt # 13703 which is adjustable and can fit frame widths that are between 22 and 72 inches wide.
