Question:
I have recently purchased 2 Lectric XP4. I need to add a class 1 receiver to a Chrysler 200 4 cylinder 800 total weight for the car. The bikes are 71 pounds with battery. What are my options for an ebike rack? Thanks in advance.

Hi Gregg!
We do have a hitch available for your 2016 Chrysler 200 with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11403. As this is a Class 1 hitch, your options for a bike rack will be more limited. The Lectric XP4 bikes being as heavy as they are will limit that even more. With the battery taken out, a Lectric XP4 will weigh 62 pounds and that made one more option available. I will warn you, the two options that will work with a Class 1 hitch and bikes that weight 62 without the battery or 71 pounds with the battery are not going to be inexpensive.
Thule Epos Bike Rack for 2 Bikes (75 pounds per bike) - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel or Frame Mount # TH99XE
Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes (65 pounds per bike) - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # TH903202
All the other bike racks we carry either will not handle the weight of your bikes or cannot be used with a Class 1 hitch. Using them will void the warranty of the rack, hitch, and possibly the vehicle and bikes. I am not trying to scare you or anything, but I also want you to be aware of this.
With all that being said, both of these bike racks are extremely nice. They also work with Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 hitches, so if you ever got a different or larger vehicle you could absolutely still use one of these racks. That might help soften the blow a little.
If you are open to it, have you thought about using a cargo carrier like the 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs # C18110 instead of a bike rack? You could fold the bikes to transport/store them on this fairly easily. You would still need some kind of straps to keep them on the carrier, but it would be A LOT less expensive.

Thank you for your comments. I had a hitch professionally installed by a person listed in your vendor list along with the Hollywood se rack which works with a 1 1/4 class 2 hitch. I had it verified with the installer and e-trailer that the hitch is class 2. So it should be good.
