Best Hitch for a Bike Rack on a 2024 VW Tiguan

Will this rack completely fold upright on a 2024 VW Tiguan SE with the custom fit Draw-Tite DT53GR or Curt C13381 receiver hitch? If so, any other issues?

Yes, it will Veronica. The Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack item # Y02443 is going to fold up with both the Curt item # C13381 or Draw-Tite item # DT53GR hitches on your 2024 VW Tiguan. The closest part of the bike rack when folded up is 7" from the hitch pin hole so you'll have plenty of clearance.
Out of those two hitches, I recommend the Draw-Tite item # DT53GR. It sits back a bit farther underneath your Tiguan and has the built in tab if you want to attach a wiring harness like the item # C56403 with the item # 18144. When installed the hitch pin hole sits 3" inside your rear bumper, so you'll still have 4" of clearance when the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack item # Y02443 is folded up.
Do you plan on doing any towing with your VW?
