Question:

I see that the Etrailer E43ZR and Ecohitch 306-X7395 are both recommended for my 2022 Tiguan SEL R Line. It appears the ecohitch mounts differently and has a higher tongue and tow capacity, but the Etrailer version seems to be more than enough for my needs. Are there any other differences worth noting? Would the ecohitch model interfere with the hands free lift gate control? Do you have photos of both models installed on the same or similar cars?

The Ecohitch part # 306-X7395 and the etrailer hitch part # e43ZR are very similar hitches that fit your 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan which accomplish the same goal. They provide a mostly hidden hitch where only the hitch opening hangs below the rear bumper. If you don't need the extra capacity of the EcoHitch the etrailer would definitely be the way to go as it costs less and installs easier. I attached pictures of both hitches installed for you to check out.

Another option you might consider is the EcoHitch Stealth part # 306-X7393 which has a lower hitch opening that is removable so you could have a totally hidden hitch if ever needed.
