What Info is Needed to Pick Out Leaf Springs for 2019 Image 2970RL

Question:

Hello, I have a 2019 Image 2970RL. I need to change leaf springs. What information do you need? Also need new u bolts.

Hey Darrell, what we need to know to pick out replacement leaf springs is the length of the leaf springs and the axle capacity. If you can get me that info we can see what you'd need.

Thank you for responding. The length with the trailer on the ground is 26 inches center of bolts. Trailer with wheels off ground is 25 1/4 inches. The axles are dexter 4400 lbs. U-bolts are 6 inches.

@JamesonC I was thinking of upgrading to 5,000lbs springs. Do you think it would be better?

@Darrell It probably won't make a big difference either way in terms of ride quality but maybe with a little more capacity you'd have a little less wear and tear on the spring over time. Going with a little higher rating is going to give you more peace of mind than anything else realistically but we do have a 5k spring in that length with the part # e44SR if you wanted to go that route.
