Does the Curt Custom Base Plate Kit Require Drilling to Install on a 2004 Jeep Wrangler?

Question:

FOR MY 2004 JEEP WRANGLER, DO YOU HAVE TO DRILL ANY HOLES IN THE FRAME OR DOES IT FIT EXISTING HOLES?

Hey Tim. The Curt Custom Base Plate Kit item # C32KR does not require drilling. It installs in existing holes on your 2004 Jeep Wrangler.

Here are the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your Jeep:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox and Curt Base Plates item # e47ZR

Wiring Harness - Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles item # HM56202

Supplemental Braking System - Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System item # HM39524

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.

What kind of motorhome do you have?

Hey Tim, did the Curt Base Plate Kit fit your Jeep Wrangler without any drilling as expected? I'm curious to know if everything worked out smoothly for you, as it could help others with similar setups!
