Question:

Will this type tow bar work with a Jeep Wrangler Sahara 99? If not, can you suggest one that will. We want to tow dinghy style. Thanks

Yes, the Demco Commander tow bar # DM9511012 will work to flat tow your 1999 Jeep Wrangler. You need several other items to complete your towing setup though. The first thing you will need is a base plate kit. If you have a double tube bumper you want the part # DM9517046, if you have a U-channel bumper you would want part # DM9519045. Check out the pictures I attached to see the differences between the two bumper styles.

For lighting you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, and not have to worry about cutting and splicing into the vehicle wiring.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest systems to set up and use are portable systems like the Blue Ox Patriot 3 # BLU37TR. It applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the two vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
