Question:

We have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler X Model and are wanting to buy a Blue Ox Base plate. I have been told that the BX1120 is the correct model but have a friend that has a BX1126 that they no longer use. Can you tell me if it will work? thanks

You are correct that the Blue Ox # BX1120 is confirmed for your 2003 Jeep Wrangler X model, as long as it has the double tube bumper. The Blue Ox # BX1126 is confirmed for 2007 - 2014 Jeep Wrangler, and Wrangler Unlimited without aftermarket bumpers, winches or guards. So the # BX1126 will not fit your 2003 Wrangler X Model.

I have included a photo of these two base plate kits side by side so that it is easier to see the differences. The primary difference is the mounting plate design, then the mounting plate hole locations for installing on your Jeep. The other differences are the design of the attachment arms as well as the the removable arms are included with the # BX1126.
