Hey MW, there's no reason the Yakima HandRoll Kayak Roof Rack # Y04082-2 that you referenced couldn't be used to secure a canoe to a Yakima Rack and Roll trailer like the part # Y08107. Are you just wanting something that would be easier to load?

Yes, you can flip the Yakima Keelover part #Y04069 so that the housing is inside of the canoe if you like. I attached a picture I took from the instructions that shows that this is an option you have.
