Can Yakima Keelover be Used Underneath Canoe More Bar Space is Needed

Can I put these in my bars backwards to give me more space and how can I strap the

Yes, you can flip the Yakima Keelover part # Y04069 so that the housing is inside of the canoe if you like. I attached a picture I took from the instructions that shows that this is an option you have.
