Will Furrion Chill HE AC Unit Work with Furnace for Coleman AC Unit?

Question:
Will this Furrion work as a replacement for a Coleman-Mach 45000 series AC unit? I ask because the Mach 10 15 currently installed has a heat pump feature and i need to know if the supplied wiring adapter will work in this situation. I don’t need the heat pump feature from Furrion, so it’s just a matter of knowing the wiring adapter work for me. However, it would also be nice to know if I added a heat strip to the Furrion could it be controlled by the heat pump signal from the thermostat? 2019 Winnebago Forza 34T with Firefly thermostat.

Hey James, thanks for reaching out!
You will be able to retain the furnace function of your system with the Furrion Chill HE # FR32PV, but you won't be able to also attached a heat strip.
In order to do all that, you'll need the Furrion Chill HE # FR86PR and the Single Zone Controller # FR43PR. This provides a wire to connect to your furnace as well as a place to plug in the Heat Strip # FR27PR. You'll just have to hardwire everything in this case, so you might need a shop to do that if you aren't familiar with it.

Hey James, how did the installation of the Furrion Chill HE go with your Winnebago? I'm curious if the setup with the Single Zone Controller and heat strip worked out for you. Your experience could really help others in a similar situation!
