I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness # RED87CR for your 2017 Ram 1500. This guy is my favorite brake controller to recommend because it can be installed virtually anywhere and you only need access to the small control knob - this saves space inside your cab, plus it keeps it looking a lot more sleek than if you went with a standard "brick" style controller.
The adapter wiring is kitted with the controller so it will be plug and play as far as the wiring goes.
