Replacement Door Latch for 2017 Palomino Canyon Cat 27RBSC

Question:

2013 Palomino canyon cat 27rbsc, I’m looking for a entry door lock assembly. I can’t find one on your site that matches the one on my camper. I have a pic of the assembly on the inside and outside but I can’t attach a pic. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hey Michael! If you want to send me your pictures you can reply to the email that brought you to this answer page. More importantly, do you know the dimensions of your cutout? An exact replacement usually isn't available but we can probably find a different one that will fit with those measurements. For example, the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000019 fits cutouts that are 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall and doors that are 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" thick.

Hey Robin! Here are the pics of the door lock assembly. The A pic is of the outside and the B pic is of the inside. I measured the outside of the assembly and it was about 3 1/2" wide and 5 1/4" tall. Thank you for your help! Mike Jenkins I cant get anything to upload as far as pics go.

@Mike sorry about that, there is no way to add pictures to the comments right now which is why I mentioned responding to the email. It sure would make things easier if we could. The dimensions will have to be of the actual cutout. The outside is typically larger since it usually has some trim to help cover everything up.

@Mike your cutout dimensions of 2 3/4” wide x 4 3/4” high were just forwarded to me. The # 295-000019 is close but you will have to fill in a little space to make it work. The only other option would be to enlarge it further and use the # BA65FR. If that doesn't sound like something you want to do I would check with local RV repair shop to see if they have a better fit.

Hello! I bought the lock suggested and there was a open gap on top. Do you have a lock with a larger face plate that would cover the excess opening?

@MichaelJ I did say in my last comment there would be space to fill if you used that. I also suggested the only other option which is larger and would require enlarging the opening.

@MichaelJ the Bauer Products Camper Door Lock # BA65FR but you'll have to enlarge it to 5-1/4" wide x 4-1/2" tall. If you don't want to do that I would see if a local RV repair shop has something that is a closer fit.
