I have a tow vehicle with a 4 pin connector I got from you guys. Works well. I am considering buying a hiker trailer with elec brakes. What do I need to get to make that work?

Hey Michael, welcome back! You'll need to add a 7-way connector and a brake controller to pull a hike trailer with brakes.
To add a 7-way connector to your 2015 Kia Sorento you'll need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle, like yours with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.
You will then connect the blue wire to the blue wire on the brake controller, connect the black wire to the positive post on your Kia's battery, the white wire to ground, and the yellow wire to vehicle's reverse circuit if applicable. This will provide you with the ability to control your trailer's brakes and also provide you with a 12v power wire for you trailer's accessory lights.
For a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 item # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller that stops or slows your trailer with the same amount of intensity and force your Kia is using. The included harness will get you all set up.
What year hike trailer are you getting?
