Replacement Bearings and Hub for a Trailstar Boat Trailer

Updated 09/08/2025 | Published 06/01/2025

Question:

I have a 2000 trailstar boat trailer rated for 3500, and I am attempting to redo the bearings and or wheel hubs. I dont know if the spindle on the trailer needs a spindle sleeve or not. Any thoughts or help locating information would be great. Thank you. And of course Im under a time crunch. Leaving this Friday. Supposed to have boat and trailer with me.

Hey Adam. I do not have a database that shows me what parts are on your boat trailer so you're going to have to pull your hubs and check for part numbers on the sides of the bearings or take a couple measurements. I have attached a diagram below that shows the measurements needed for a spindle, bearings, seals, faces, and hubs. The spindle measurements are labeled A through F.

A is the spindle shaft diameter
B is where the grease seal sits
C is where the inner bearing sits
D is where the outer bearing sits
E is the thread diameter at the end of the spindle for the nut
F is the spindle shaft length

To determine a replacement hub, I'll need to know measurements C and D and also what your current lug nut pattern is. You can add this information and any other questions you have in the box below that says Reply to Jerred H.

Hey Adam, did you have a chance to check the measurements on your trailer's spindle and bearings? If you're still looking for a solution, I'm happy to help.
