Question:
I need a weight distributing hitch for a 2022 ford F150. Towing a 2024 Vibe 19rb. The tongue weight is 680. The dry weight is 4870 and GVWR is 7680. I was thinking of buying a Curt C17499 and a 2 5/16 ball to fit the hitch. Would this be appropriate? Can you torque the ball onto the hitch? The required torque is way beyond my wrench and my physical capacity.

Hey John, the Curt TruTrack part # C17499 would be an appropriate tongue weight range for your trailer so it would be a solid option. Then for a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball you'd want the part # 19286 but we don't have a way to install the ball and torque it down for you. You might be able to borrow a large torque wrench from an auto parts store in your area or if you can find a garage that works on cars and brought them the setup they'd probably do it for you.
