Do you carry the SuperTruss Torklift 48inch version. I need this to support my F550 with the Eagle Cap 1200 truck camper.

Hey Bill,

We do carry the TorkLift SuperTruss 48" version. We have one that fits into the normal 2" TorkLift hitch, as well as one that fits the Ford factory 3" receivers. For your normal TorkLift hitch you want to go with # TLE1548, if you have the factory 3" you want to go with # TLE1648, both have the 48" extension that you need.

What receiver do you have on your F550?

I have a 2" hitch receiver. Is this option going to work for me in terms of flat towing a vehicle? I get worried with such a long extension (which is why I was looking at the supertruss). Bill

@Bill You can definitely flat tow with the SuperTruss extensions. The biggest thing is just looking out for your ground clearance with such a long extension. Going up steep hills is the main thing to be cautious about. There are no issues actually towing, just some things to keep an eye on while doing it. What vehicle are you wanting to tow behind it? You may also look at how much clearance you have after the truck bed camper. Making sharp turns you don't want your vehicle to hit the corner of the camper.

@NickS I was looking at this hitch extension in more detail. I looks it plugs into 2 hitch receivers and I only have one as it stands today. I also replied to your email with picture of my hitch with single receiver (couldn't see a wayu to attach picture here). Am I going to need to swap out my hitch and if so, what do you recommend. I have a LOT of ground clearance with the raise truck. I'll have to check on the swing to see if it would potenially hit any part of the camper that might be hanging down. I will be towing a fairly light vehicle - either a Mazda 3 or an older Volkswagen beetle. \\ Bill Bill

@BillF With your F550, we will definitely have a hitch option for you that will work with the extension. # TL76CR is the TorkLift specific hitch for your vehicle that is going to give it the 2" receivers it needs to install. It does only fit vehicles with a frame width of 34" outside to outside so you will need to make sure your frame is wide enough.

Hey Bob, yes the Blue Ox Hitch part #BLU62UR does fit underneath the OEM hitch of your 2023 Ram 2500 and does sit flush as well. I attached a picture that shows this as well.
