Question:
I have a Tekonsha Primus IQ P2 that I removed from my previous vehicle. I would like to use this in my Ford Ranger 2023, is that valid? I need the mounting bracket and all wires necessary to go to a seven blade connector for the trailer I pull. This truck does have a four pin trailer connector near the hitch. Does that imply it is definitely a factory tow package. If the Primus wont work, can you give me the parts, including any special adapter for this pick up that will get me trailering? thanks

Hey Bill,
You can absolutely use your Primus IQ on your 2023 Ford Ranger! The installation will be a bit different, since there is not a plug and play adapter for your vehicle it will need to be spliced in.
If you do not have the universal harness it came with originally we do have a replacement, # 20127. This would just plug into the back of the controller and then splice into the vehicle. For your Ford Ranger, the 4 flat plug that is on it would be considered "without a factory tow package". With that said you would need our item # ETBC7 to get that 7 pole connector in the rear for the trailer, and to be able to activate those brakes with a brake controller. This will have the bracket you mentioned included with it!
Let me know what you think about that set up!

# 20127 When I was previously researching this on my own, I had indicated I have a 2023 Ford Ranger so when I went back to see about buying that wiring system above, that attached to the controller to be spliced in, it said this does not fit your vehicle selection. Specifically the popup window said this item does not fit your vehicle 2023 Ford Ranger so now what?
