Replacement AC Unit Recommendation for 2018 Jayco Flight 284BHS

Question:

I have a 2018 Jayce flight 284bhs, the ac needs replacing. I believe it’s a Dometic unit, the thermostat is a Dometic. Which ac unit can I replace it with, I would like to upgrade to 15000btu. Also will the thermostat need replacing? I hope you have something that’s just plugg in. Also I would like for the unit to have a hard start added already.

Hey Rudolfo, we can definitely help but we don't have anything that would plug directly into your Dometic lower vent unit so that means that and the current thermostat would need to be replaced. Basically what we have found is that even if there's an alleged adapter that says you can mix and match AC unit brand components it never works like it should so you need to replace it all.

For that I would recommend the Furrion Chill Cube part # FR99TD which is by far the quietest and the coldest blowing option on the market. It also comes with all of the components needed to install and has a remote that can double as the thermostat.

Thank you for the information. I'm thinking of going with the FR69TD, this one comes with wall mounted thermostat for furnace control. My problem is the dlivery date being Oct 3 2025, is this correct?

@RudyS The deliver date as of right now is accurate unfortunately but it could change. These units are so popular basically Furrion can't keep up at all.
