When your compartment lock is worn or missing, this replacement secures the door so it stays closed on the road. It includes straight and offset cams so you can match the fit without modifying the door.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the RV Designer Ace compartment lock set. You're gonna get quantity four. Now, these work with up to a 5/8 inch thick door, and these are considered a 7/8 inch lock size, and that's that length of usable thread space there. And these, of course, are all keyed alike.
You get two keys here. They're a barrel-style key. That's one of the easiest ones in my opinion to use, that works great and never gets stuck or gets, you know, jammed. And it's one of the hardest ones to pick actually, per locksmiths that we've talked to over the years. And you have four different cams that are straight, or you have offset cam options you can use as well.
And those will get installed back here on the backside. Tighten that nut down, and then tighten this main nut here once you get this put into your door. Now, these are used normally to keep compartment doors, storage doors closed and protected and locked. And the key can stay in place while the lock is unlocked so that it cannot be removed by mistake. So what I mean by that, so once we've got this unlocked, the key's not coming out until it's locked again.
So you're never gonna forget the keys, hopefully, 'cause you won't have the door shut with the keys in there. And it's just gonna give you another peace of mind that you know everything is locked up whenever it's time to go. Again, four locks, keyed alike, one pair of keys, you're gonna get two keys. These are the RV Designer Ace compartment locks. I'm Steven.
Thanks for watching.

Thanks, etrail er
The only thing I don’t like is they have to be in the locked position to get the key out.
