Updated 04/21/2026 | Published 04/21/2025

Question:

Hello, I have a 2023 Ford E450 Thor 28A Class C that I would like to install a FRONT hitch on to carry bicycles. Do you carry a hitch that will fit? Equipped with the 7.3 gas engine. Thanks!

Hi Ron,

We currently do not have a confirmed fit from Curt or Draw-tite for a front mount hitch that would fit the 2023 Ford E-450 chassis.

However, we have had one customer tell us that the Draw-Tite front mount hitch part # 65053 worked on his 2023. That fitment has not been tested by us or Draw-tite so I cannot say for sure it will work for you. If you scroll down on the page to the product reviews, that particular customer's name is Brian B.

Hi Ron, did you get a chance to try the Draw-Tite front hitch on your Ford E450? I'd love to know if it worked for you, as it could help others with similar vehicles.

@HeatherA I am still looking to proceed with installing a front hitch on my 2023 E450 motorhome. Have there been any more than the one person who were successful with this install since the last time I asked? Thank You!

@Ron Hi Ron, welcome back! We also no longer carry Draw-Tite hitches, and at this time we still don’t have any additional confirmed installs beyond that one report on the Draw-Tite # 65053. Neither Draw-Tite nor Curt has officially verified a front hitch fit for the 2023 E-450 motorhome chassis, so unfortunately there isn’t a fully confirmed, bolt-on option we can point to. A good universal-style option we carry is the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C13701. This hitch has adjustable side brackets that fit frame widths from 18" to 60", which lines up well with most E-450 motorhome frames. While it’s not specifically designed as a front-mount hitch, it can be adapted for front use on a motorhome like your Thor 28A, though you should plan on some minor fitting, drilling, or possibly welding depending on how your front frame is laid out. For carrying bikes specifically, a lot of folks in your situation end up going one of two routes: either taking a chance on that style of hitch knowing it may need some adjustment, or working with a local fabrication shop to build a front receiver that’s tailored to the motorhome. The custom route tends to give you the cleanest fit and best positioning, especially with clearance and airflow in mind.
