Will the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for Chevy/GMC fit a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 5 1/2ft bed?

Hello Floyd, thanks for reaching out. We do have a 5th wheel bracket kit that will work for you, but the Curt # C16411 you mentioned is only for 2500 and 3500 models. What you will need for your 1500 is the following:
- B&W Custom Mounting Brackets for Patriot 5th Wheel Above Bed Base Rails # BWRVR2503
This is made specifically for the 2008 Chevy 1500 and will work with any ISR 5th wheel rails. If you need rails to go with is, those are part # BWRVR3210.

Hey Floyd, how did the B&W mounting brackets work out on your Silverado 1500 with the short bed? Knowing how the fit turned out could really help others setting up a similar 5th wheel setup.
