Can Blue Ox Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter Be Used for Cargo Carrier

Question:
Can i use that on a 2016 Honda Accord. I bought a cage from you all but its low to the ground and it scrapes if I go out a low driveway or over speed bumps.

Hey Sherri! Do you have a 2" receiver or a 1-1/4" on your 2016 Honda Accord? The Blue Ox Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # BLU28XR is only rated for flat towing so it isn't a good solution. If you have a 2" receiver you can use the Patriot Hitches 2" Adjustable Drop Hitch Adapter # PH38NR. This will give you the clearance you need and won't reduce the capacity of your hitch like other adapters.
If you have a 1-1/4" hitch all of the available adapters will reduce the capacity by 50% which will probably be too much with the weight of the carrier and cargo. They are also all 1-1/4" to 2" so the carrier would need to be able to fit a 2" if the 50% reduction still allowed you to use it.
