Can Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Trike Rack HLY87RR Be Used On A Flat Towed Vehicle

I have a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk that I flat tow behind my diesel pusher Motor home. It looks like you do not recommend using the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 1 Electric Trike and 1 Electric Bike - 2inch Hitches on the back of the jeep while flat towing. What is the reason for this? Is there any rack you sell that can carry a e-trike and e-bike on the back of a tow car?

Hello Kevin, thanks for reaching out. You are correct the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 1 Electric Trike and 1 Electric Bike # HLY87RR is not recommended for this. The reason is because the manufacturer does not test/ rate it for use on a flat towed vehicle. It is only rated for use on a car, truck, SUV or motorhome. Flat towed vehicles are much more susceptible to sway and bounce, so they need to be tested under such conditions to ensure they are safe for use.
Sadly, we do not offer a trike rack that can go on a flat towed vehicle. We do have e-bike racks that are flat tow rated like the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR, but nothing for carrying a trike.
