Is Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty for 2013 GMC Acadia SLE With Tow Package Plug and Play
Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 03/19/2025 >
Question:
I am looking at installing a Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller - Dash knob on our 2013 GMC Acadia SLE with Factory Tow Package. Is the wiring harness adapter pretty much plug and play? I had installed one on my 2015 Tacoma which was plug an play. Also any videos or steps for install? Thank you.

Hey Kim! The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED44CR will be plug and play. There is a little more to the installation since the main unit sits behind the dash and you have to install the control knob but the wiring is simple. We don't have an installation video on an Acadia but I did attach one below from a Colorado you can use as a reference, along with the written instructions. If you installed this on your 2015 Tacoma you won't have any issues.

Hey Kim, how did the install of the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty go on your Acadia? Did the wiring and dash knob setup work out as smoothly as on your Tacoma? Your update could make it easier for others working on a similar setup.
