What Tonneau Cover do I Want for My 2024 GMC 1500 5 3/4' Bed with 5th Wheel Hitch?

Hi. What cover, if any, do you recommend for a 2024 GMC 1500 short box 5.8’ with a fifth wheel attachment and a Reese Sidewinder hitch extension, so the front of the camper doesn’t hit the folded up cover and the cover will close over the fifth wheel hitch??? I prefer a hard cover in the low to mid price range but will consider a roll up soft cover. Thanks!

Hi Mark,
I see you went with the B&W Patriot—fantastic choice! Given that you have a 5 3/4' bed, I’d recommend a roll-up cover like the TruXedo TruXport Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # TX272401. Unlike a folding cover, a roll-up design takes up less space in the bed when fully opened, giving you more flexibility. You also won’t have any clearance issues with the Patriot fitting underneath. I attached an installed picture so you can see that the height doesn't go above the height of the bed.

Hey Mark, how did the TruXedo TruXport roll-up cover end up working with your B&W Patriot hitch and fifth wheel setup? It sounds like the extra clearance could make a big difference. Your update could make it easier for others towing with a similar truck and hitch combo.
