Hey Rachel, unfortunately it does not look like Thule makes an adapter for those crossbars so you'd have to use a different set of crossbars in order to use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs # TH898.

The Hullavator also need 4-8" over overhang to make sure you have enough space to safely load and unload your kayaks.

You could also use the MOS UpLift Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs # MR89ZV which will fit those bars and not require any overhang.

If you didn't want to use that then your best bet would be to uninstall the factory rack and install a new set of crossbars like the Rhino Rack Roof Rack # RR32VE, which you can then use the Hullavator.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please drop a comment and let me know!

Hey Rachel, what did you end up doing for your Durango’s crossbars so you could use a lift-assist kayak rack? Knowing which setup worked could really help others trying to mount the Hullavator or MOS UpLift on similar factory racks.

@LazerS Hi! I gave up on it. I had a local outdoor gear store call thule and dodge. There wasn't anything they could figure out and I didn't want to dismount the factory rails. I honestly bought a CX50 and ensured the hullivator is compatible. I'm quite disappointed. I've had Durangos since 2008. I'm not sure why Dodge is like this. I could have fit it in the cabin, but apparently dodge doesnt allow headrests to be removed without a bunch of alarms. If they'd change it, they would get a loyal customer back.

@Rachel Sorry to hear it wouldn't work for your Durango. Things have gotten weird with Dodge and Jeep ever since Stellantis took over/bought them. Hopefully they get their act together, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Are you liking your Mazda though? I hear Toyota makes their transmissions now and they are super reliable, so it should last a good long time. : )
