Can I use this rack with my step-through bike that has fenders? Will I need an adapter?

When using the Saris edge bike rack sar74yr with a bike with fenders, does the front wheel clamp latch on to the fender or to the wheel?

@Joe You would always want the clamp to grab the wheel and not the fender.

@JamesonC Thank you for your reply. While this rack will likely work for mine and my wife’s e bikes it won’t work for her pedal bike as the fender wraps around the wheel about 18”

@JoeB A rack like the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 would be a better option as it grabs the bike by the frame and not the tire so the fenders wouldn't interfere.
