Is Taillight Kit Needed with Thule Verse Bike Rack

Thinking this rack might block my license plate and/or taillights on my SUV. What should I do? Is this illegal? Why is TH24SA needed?

Hey Mark, that's a great question. In general you don't have to use a taillight kit like the part # TH24SA with bike racks like the Thule Verse # TH64SA as they are narrow enough that your taillights can easily be seen to the outsides of the bikes/rack or even through them. But on narrower vehicles this is not always the case and having additional taillights like the part # TH24SA does provide some additional peace of mind.
