Question:
I am interested in knowing if your weight distribution anti sway unit will work with surge brakes. Also I am wanting to purchase and use one of your units on a boat trailer with basically a single tube tongue, the tongue is built out of 3 1/2 inch square tubing. There is no fork or width to the tongue trailer for approximately 6 feet back from the hitch. I noticed on one website they sold a spreader type bar that could be bolted to the single tube trailer tongue so the weight distribution bars would be far enough apart to work. I would appreciate your input/thoughts concerning this matter/situation. Thank You, Stan Moore

Hey Stan, I have a similar weight distribution system to the # RE34FR that is surge brake compatible but this one is not as it doesn't allow enough front to back movement for the surge system to work. Instead the # FA92-00-0600 would work great and has the same rating as the Reese. And then since you have a pole tongue style boat trailer you'd also need the Pole Tongue Adapter part # EQ95-01-5950. This attaches to the pole tongue and gives wider brackets for the spring bars to attach to.

Hey Stan, how did the setup go with the Equal-i-zer system and the pole tongue adapter on your boat trailer? Your update could make it easier for others working with a similar single-tube tongue design.
