Hello. I am looking at the Reese 49911 weight distribution package for a 2013 Kia Sorento V6 towing a 2019 rpod 189. First, do you see any issues with this setup? Second, the trailer hitch takes a two inch ball. Are there any issues with removing the 2 5/16 factory installed ball and replacing with a 2? Thank you.

The only thing I do not like about the Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution 49911 # RE34FR is it uses the curved round bar. This bend placed in the bar creates a weak point. It also relies on retainer pins which when they fail allow the bar to simply fall out of the hitch. If you were to use this hitch you can use the 2" Ball # A-90 to replace the hitch ball.
Instead I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600. This has a much more dependable trunnion bar with no bends. The straight bars also provide better ground clearance for curbs and speed bumps. It also uses pins with cotter pins to hold the bar in place which are superior to the Reese spring pins. You will need a 2" Ball # EQ91-00-6080 along with a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install it on the hitch.
