Wondering how to pick the right Cannon length? Its easier than you think:
If your camper is already mounted:
Measure from the rear face of your trucks bumper to the outer edge of your campers bumper. This measurement tells you the length of the extension you need.
If your camper isn't mounted:
1. Measure the inside length of your truck bed, from the front to the rear bumpers outer face.
2. Measure your campers floor length, from the front bumpers to the rear bumpers outer edge.
3. Subtract the first measurement from the second. The difference is the extension length you need.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Torklift Cannon hitch extension for your three-inch factory Ford Super Duty hitches. Now, folks, this is gonna give you 32 inches extension whenever it's installed. And what do I mean by that So from the end of your factory receiver to the end of this Torklift Cannon receiver is the 32 inches. So overall on this product, from the end all the way back to the back, it's right at 40 inches.
So, again, this is only extending you out 32 inches and that's gonna be basically from that pinhole, again, back up here, just like I mentioned. So make sure you're checking your measurements and getting what you need to be sure you're getting everything correctly. Now, again, this does fit the three-inch Ford Super Duty factory hitches and it's gonna work seamlessly with those setups. You're gonna get extra clearance with this extension. It's gonna give you the space you need to tow safely with an onboard camper maybe and those kind of things and give you tight turns more easily and those kind of things.
Now, I've got an image here of this on one of the Ford trucks just so you can kind of see about how far it sticks out the back. You can also see in that image the side chains here going out from the left and right-hand side. So, again, these supports are gonna be coming out from the sides on both sides of this extension tube. And, of course, you have the bracket here on the back for the wiring. And then, of course, you've got your safety chain tie-downs as normal and you've got a reducer sleeve already in there.
That's that silver square part there in the center. And, of course, you've got the two hitch pin and clips to hold those accessories in place. Now, I recommend personally you swap these out with maybe lockable ones just to keep your stuff safe and secure, but that's up to you. The maximum gross trailer weight is 4,000 pounds. The maximum gross trailer weight when you use weight distribution with this is 8,000 pounds capacity.
These pin diameter holes are your standard 5/8-inch pins. It's been built to last. It's heavy duty construction out of steel, and the nice powder coat finish means it's not gonna rust, corrode, or anything like that anytime soon. Well, folks, everything here is included. You have the shackles and everything and, again, the chains to go outward and then the shackles here to tension everything and make it nice, tight, and secure to be sure you're doing a safe operation.
