Why Would Advent Air for Dometic Setup Pop Breakers

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/15/2025

Question:

Customer bought a advent ACDOM150 Replacement for old duo therm ac unit. This was the second ac on the roof in a multi zone system. Realized the advent unit was a single zone system after it was hooked up. Would a single zone unit in a multi zone system cause the breakers to trip? And would it cause the fan to cut out and the compressor to stay running building amperage? Any suggestions would be appreciated

SO the problem is that the Advent Air for Dometic Setups part # ACDOM150 does not work like we thought it did. It will not fit to a Dometic lower unit like we once thought it would so that is exactly why you are having issues with the breakers etc.

What is needed is the Advent air air distribution box to replace the lower assemblies you have now with part # ACRG15.

Hey, how did things go after switching to the Advent air distribution box with your ACDOM150 unit? It’d be great to know if that cleared up the breaker and fan issues. Your update could make it easier for others running multi-zone systems.
