Hello Nick, thanks for reaching out. The etrailer Electric Trailer Jack # e55ZV is designed to be weatherproof. The plastic housing will keep water out. All of the buttons are covered in a flexible rubber that keeps the elements out and protects the housing. Additionally, this jack comes with a vinyl cover that goes over the top. Keeping the cover on will not only protect it from water, but from UV rays as well. UV rays can be more damaging to the parts than water, so keeping the cover on as often as possible is recommended.

Hey Nick, how did the new electric trailer jack hold up against the weather so far? It’d be great to hear if the cover kept everything dry and working right. Your update could make it easier for others with the same concern.
