Hello Terry,
We can definitely get your 2024 Toyota Rav4 set up with a tow package.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13416 is going to be a great fit for the Rav4 and will give you a 2" receiver. I attached a picture of an install that we did here at etrailer so you can see where the receiver is going to sit. The # 22282 is a nice accessory to have for when the hitch is not in use.
For the wiring the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56434 would get the 4 flat on the back or the vehicle for light towing (nothing with brakes) or a hitch mounted accessory with lights. Don't forget to grab a # 18144 for a clean looking install.
If you are looking to tow something with brakes you will need to also install the # etbc7, it's a little more work than the 4 flat as you will need to run a power line with some amps along the way, and will need to run the brake wire as well. I attached a diagram of the break down, if you are not pulling anything with brakes then you don't need this wiring.
If you are looking for a good ball mount for some light towing I really like our etrailer ball mount # e67DR, the ball has a black nickel plating that really gives it a sleek design. This ball mount comes with a hitch pin and clip as well.

Hey Terry, how did the hitch and wiring setup go on your Rav4? Did the Curt hitch and T-Connector wiring give you the towing setup you were hoping for? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar install.
