Will The Inno Rod Box IN52FR Work For 8' Rods?

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/09/2025

Question:

I do alot of amberjack fishing with 8 ft 7 or so rods. My goal is to prepare at home for a trip and set the entire setup rigged into the box. I use 14,000 series and 18,000 series SW Diawa Saltiga. Can stow away and pull out both setups from the box with reels fixed and pole rigged ready to fish.

Hey thanks for reaching out, William. I used to catch a lot of amberjack and red snapper when we went deep sea fishing in the Gulf. They are fun as hell to catch and delicious too. Anyway, the Inno Rod Box # IN52FR you were looking at will work great for 8' rods like the ones you mentioned. It can be adjusted hold rods up to 9' long so you will easily be keep your rods inside fully rigged and assembled and ready to and ready to fish as soon as you get to your destination. Technically it can hold up to 8 rods but it helps to kind of stagger the position of each reel so they can all fit together. I also like that the carrier locks shut, and locks to your crossbars, so it is very secure. Definitely going to make those fishing trips more enjoyable and less stressful (depending on how the fish are biting lol).

Hey William, how did the Inno Rod Box work out for storing your 8-foot rods with the reels still attached? Your experience could point others toward the best way to pack their setups for a fishing trip.
