Base Plate Recommendation for 2001 Ford Explorer XLT

Question:

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS ON A TOWING BASE PLATE BRACKET FOR A 2001 FORD EXPLORER XLT 2WD NOT A SPORT MODEL I SEE A PART 469-1 AND DO YOU HAVE VIDEO OF THE INSTALL FOR THIS CAR THANKS

Hey Ricky, so I would go with the Roadmaster Direct Connect Base Plate Kit part # 469-3 which is a confirmed fit for your 2001 Ford Explorer. This has easier to use and connect to arms than the kit you mentioned. We do not have any install video for base plate kits that fit your truck at this time though.

Of all of the options available I would say this is by far the best since it's easiest to use and has removable arms so it's mostly hidden when not in use. Are you in need of other flat towing components?

Hey James I have a RM-020 tow bar would it work with the 469-1 base plates

@Ricky Yep! The Tracker Tow Bar part # RM-020 does work with the part # 469-1.
