What ground clearance do you need to lower the jack so as to set it up to start to levelling the RV?

The retracted height of the stabilizer jack # TJ01RT is 11-1/2 inches. You will need to mount the jack so that you will have at least this amount of clearance on level ground so that the jack can be used in most situations.
When the jack is folded, it measures 3-1/2 inches from the top of the mounting bracket down. See the included images for a closer look at the jack in both the retracted and folded positions.
