Features to know about

Protects Floors From Daily Abuse

ProTech XT flooring helps protect the deck of your trailer or the surface of your garage from repeated loading, unloading, and storage. It creates a barrier between your floor and your equipment, helping reduce wear over time.

Designed for Snowmobiles and Wet Conditions

Snowmobiles bring water, snow, and slush with them. The built-in pass-through holes and channels allow melted snow to drain away, keeping carbides and tracks from sitting in puddles that can lead to corrosion or soft flooring underneath.

XT Surface Adds Confidence When Things Get Slick

The XT flooring features a more aggressive surface texture that adds traction under your boots and equipment. This helps reduce slipping when you are loading or walking on wet, icy, or muddy floors.

Simple Installation With Room to Adapt

Tiles snap together easily to create a floating floor, making installation straightforward. If you prefer a fixed or partially floating setup, you can fasten the tiles down using screws (not included). Fastening slots keep screw heads recessed, and tiles can be cut to fit with a knife or saw.

Works With Other Caliber Flooring Options

ProTech XT flooring is compatible with other Caliber flooring styles, allowing you to mix colors or textures and customize your setup based on how you use your trailer or garage.

How much will you need for your trailer?

For box trailers, calculate length x width. If you have a V-nose trailer, you'll use the box width and V-nose dimensions for the total area, so the formula looks like this: (0.5 x width) x V-nose depth

Example: 7.5' x 14' trailer with 5' V-nose

  • Box area: 7.5" x 14' = 105 sq ft
  • V-nose area: (0.5 x 7.5) x 5 + 18.75 sq ft
  • Total area: 124 sq ft

How This Part Fits Into Your Trailer's Setup

Caliber creates products that work together as part of a full loading and hauling system, no matter what you ride. ProTech XT supports the floor protection portion of that setup.

  • Traction and Control: RampGrips, TraxMats, and Trax Grabber help your skis track smoothly up the ramp and across transitions, giving you predictable steering as you load.
  • Inside Glide Path: GripGlides, LowPro Glides, Multi Glides, and FlexGlides protect your flooring while giving you a track to navigate into and through your trailer.
  • Outside Edge Control: EdgeGlides and Edge Guards make transitions easier and keep your sled from running off your ramp or trailer.
  • Floor and Vehicle Protection: ProTech flooring protects your garage or trailer from carbide runners or studded tracks. PolyShield protects your machines from salt and road spray while you're transporting them.
  • Tie Down and Securement: ReTrax straps, Clamp Pro, and TrailBlazer tie-downs secure ramps, skis, and your ATV/UTV during transport.

This product fills one piece of your loading system, helping every surface work together. Even a single upgrade can make loading a better experience.

  • How Thick is the Caliber ProTech XT Flooring CA89AJ?
Hey Thomas, welcome back. The Caliber ProTech XT Flooring item # CA89AJ is 1/2" thick. The manufacturer says in the instructions you can use a knife or a saw. I have something similar in my shop and I used a table saw to cut mine. The only issue I ran into was the plastic that comes off while you're cutting builds up a bit. Do you plan on using this flooring in a trailer, garage, shop?

  • Which Caliber Flooring Is Best For Enclosed Trailer Used For Lawn Care Business ?
Hey Brian, I’d go with the Caliber ProTech XT # CA89AJ in black or # CA56AJ in gray. The XT surface gives you more traction for loading and unloading that lawn equipment. I also think it makes it safer to walk and have texture under your shoes. The ProTech Smooth # CA79AJ would still work and aren't "dangerous", but I’d lean XT for this kind of trailer since you’ll be moving mowers and equipment across it constantly. If you were adding the flooring in a garage and wanted it smoother...

  • High End Garage Flooring Pieces That Snap Together Without Tools For 1 Car Garage 12' by 20'
Hey Mark, for a garage like that I'd lean toward the Caliber ProTech Smooth Gray # CA79AJ since the smoother surface will be easier to sweep and roll tools across. If you want more traction, the ProTech XT Black # CA89AJ or XT Gray # CA56AJ would be better choices. Each covers 27 square feet per box. For that one car garage measuring 12 foot by 20 foot, you'd be looking at around 9 boxes to completely cover the floor. Some people just do where the car parks and not the whole area, so you...

  • How Many Sets Of Caliber Trailer Flooring Do I Need For 7 by 14 Enclosed Trailer ?
Hey Jake, a 7' x 14' trailer is about 98 square feet, so you'd need 4 boxes of the Caliber ProTech XT # CA89AJ since each box covers 27 square feet. The 18" x 9" sections can be cut to fit around wheel wells, tie-downs, and along the walls, so having a little extra is helpful. If you don't need to cover every square inch of the trailer's floor, you could get by with just 3 boxes. You can always buy a 4th if you find it necessary. This will work really well for give the trailer a nice...

  • Is There A Trailer Flooring Tile Kit That Is Checkered Red And Black Or Gray?
Absolutely, Jason. The ProTech different color and different style tiles are designed to work together, so you can mix Black # CA89AJ, Gray # CA56AJ, and Red # CA29AJ to make a checkered pattern, border, or whatever layout you want. All three use the same 9" x 18" XT tiles and each full kit covers 27 sq ft. There are also smaller 9 sq ft kits if you only need a few tiles of one color to finish the pattern. What size trailer are you working with? We can help figure out how many boxes of...

  • Is There Textured Flooring Blocks That Snap Together For Enclosed Trailer With Snowmobile And RZR ?
Hey Chris! Yes, the Caliber ProTech XT # CA89AJ is a good fit for an enclosed toy hauler. It’s designed for trailers, garages, and toy haulers, and the XT surface gives you more traction for things like a RZR or snowmobile. Install is super easy and tool-free. Each box covers 27 square feet and the sections can be trimmed to fit your floor. If you would rather have a lighter color floor, the gray version # CA56AJ is the same style and coverage. What size is the cargo area in your toy hauler?

  • Can The Caliber ProTech XT Flooring Be Used Over A Metal Mesh Floor?
Hey Ross, thanks for reaching out, and good question. That’s one of those setups that can work, but it’s not really what that flooring is designed for. The Caliber ProTech XT Flooring # CA89AJ is meant to sit on a solid surface so it can spread the load and stay flat. On a metal mesh floor, you’ve got all those gaps underneath, so the tiles don’t have full support. What ends up happening is they flex between the openings and feel a little spongy, especially if you’re putting any weight...
