Question:

Hi, I am looking for a ball mount that will allow me to my tailgate down clear of the jack on my travel trailer. So, what I need is a class V ball mount with a 3-5inch drop but the distance between the ball hole and pin hole needs to be greater than the 10inch standard. Do you have a product like this? Thanks

All of the ball mounts we offer for the Class V 2-1/2 inch receiver have the same 10 inch ball hole to pin hole distance you mentioned.

This being said, I might have a solution for you. You can use a reducer sleeve like part # C45405 along with a ball mount like part # BWBMHD30013. The ball mount has a 16K capacity, and a hitch pin hole to ball hole distance of 11-3/8 inches. Draw-Tite offers a 12K model with a hole to hole distance of 12 inches and a 4 inch drop, part # 4285.

If your hitch is the Class V OEM Ford receiver, keep in mind that the later model Fords (2011+) Class V hitches had inside corners that had a different radius. If this is the case with your truck, you might need to sand the corners of the reducer to get it to fit into the receiver.
