Which Furrion Tankless Water Heater is the Best Replacement for an Atwood Model GC6AA-10E

Question:
Good afternoon! I am looking for a tankless water heater that would be replacing a Dometic 6 gallon water heater, model number GC6AA-10E. I am attaching some pictures of the space this tankless water heater would be installed. Could you assist with your recommendations for a tankless water heater? I did see the previous question answered for this recommending the Furrion FR98SR, but I am concerned about the 16 by 16inch door being to large. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for all of the dimensions!
For your application I recommend picking up the Furrion Tankless # FR48SR instead because it has a 16"x18" door which looks closer to what you currently have. The cutout is only 12-3/4" to 12-13/16" for width and 12-5/8" to 12-3/4" for height, so it will fit just fine in your cutout (according to your photos), but you might need to patch your old holes and drill new ones with this one.

Hey, how did the fit turn out with the Furrion tankless water heater and your existing cutout? It sounds like the 16x18 door might have been a closer match. Sharing how it worked could help others replacing a Dometic unit like yours.
