Hello Duane.
For your 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with 170 wheel base and factory step bumper you want the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75601 (this fits both the 2500 and 3500). I see that you were looking at the Class IV, unfortunately they do not have one for the step bumper. The # 75601 still has a tongue weight of 500 pounds, and a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. If you were to use a weight distribution hitch it can handle even more weight. Of course you will want to check your owners manual to see what your max towing capacity is as you never want to do more than what Mercedes says you can.
If you need some wiring as well, you want the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter - 7 Way Trailer Connector # TK22115. If you don't already have a ball mount, the etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches # 98989 , nice thing about this kit is that it comes with a pin and clip, a 2" ball, and a 2 5/16" ball.

Hey Duane, how did the Draw-Tite Class III hitch work out on your Sprinter with the step bumper? Your update could make it easier for others trying to find the right fit for that setup.
