Hi. I have a 2024 Volvo S60 Plug in hybrid. Do you know why the V60 trailer hitch does not also fit the S60? I just need this for a bike rack.

Hey Paul, thanks for reaching out. That is a tough question to answer because this isn't something we would ever really test to find out. The hitch for the 2024 Volvo V60, the Stealth Hitch # SH47FR is specified by the manufacturer to only fit the 2019-2025 models of the V60. So those are the only vehicles we have ever attempted to install.

It looks like there is no hitch for the S60 so this likely means there would be issues with the way the crosstube/flanges/receiver all line up with the bumper.

If you need to carry a bike with your S60 the only option would be to use a roof rack like the Thule # TH73AG along with a roof mounted bike carrier like the Thule ProRide # TH598004. That or have a welder fabricate a hitch for you.

@JesseM Hi Jesse. I have not done anything with the S60 yet. I need to take a look under a V60 the next time I am at the dealer. Based on the response from Stealth Hitches, I expect that their V60 hitch will work on a S60. One thing we have noticed from the XC90 rack is that the automatic anti-collision braking needs to be disabled on every start up. Otherwise, reverse is not an option.
