Note: This rack receiver is for hitch-mounted accessories only. The receiver tube included with this hitch cannot be used for towing.
If you would like to upgrade this rack receiver for towing, you will need to purchase the Stealth Hitches towing kit (SH56FR - sold separately). The ball mount included in this kit inserts into the center block of the hitch in place of the receiver attachment. A 2" hitch ball is included with the ball mount, making it ready to tow with out of the box.
If you want to take your bikes to the trail with your family this summer, you have plenty of options. You can carry your bikes on top of your car with a roof rack, but that bulky rack can increase drag on your ride. You can use a trunk rack, but that's a pain to mount and it can scratch your car's paint. Or you can install a hitch on your ride and use a hitch-mounted bike rack to carry your bikes.
This rack receiver is designed to act as a mounting point for your hitch bike rack or cargo carrier. Just slide the shank of your carrier into the receiver for use, and when you're done you can not only remove the carrier, but the receiver as well, leaving your vehicle looking clean and unmodified.
Nothing can ruin the clean, stylish look of your vehicle like a giant piece of metal bolted beneath its bumper. Luckily, with the Stealth Hitches rack receiver, you never have to worry about messing up your vehicle's lines.
This hitch installs behind your bumper, keeping the cross tube concealed and leaving only the hitch receiver visible. Even better, the receiver can be easily removed from the cross tube when it's not in use so that you won't see any trace of the hitch. This means that you can retain that clean, from-the-factory look for your ride, while still being able to carry your bikes and gear on the next family road trip.
The receiver can be attached or detached in seconds with no tools required. To insert the receiver, simply pop the base up into the stainless steel block at the center of the hitch until it automatically latches in place.
Be sure to then press the lock on the side of the block to fully secure the receiver. When you're finished carrying your bikes or cargo, use the included key to unlock the latch. Then turn the handle on the block clockwise and remove the receiver. You can stow the receiver in a safe place, like your vehicle's rear cargo area, or you can use a convenient carrying case (391CASER - sold separately).
And when you're not using the receiver attachment, the included hitch plug covers the center block's opening to protect the hitch's body from dirt and debris.

This is a great hitch for this car. Tidy installation, fairly easy to swap between the two attachments. And it’s half the cost of the factory hitch. Very pleased with the Stealth hitch and have recommended it to other Volvo owners.
There are not many options for 2019+ V60, but I am glad I ordered the Stealth hitch. Without the receiver extension, the hitch just disappear. My only issue is the price. Installation was relatively easy, the instructions are well made, etrailer video was also very helpful. It took me a bit less than 2 hours alone and it could have taken 30 min less if it was not for the very tight tolerance between the center block (billet block) and the hitch. It is very tight, I had to use lubricants and a hammer to get in there and align the holes for the bolts. The paint is just too thick there. Other than that, the installation was a breeze. My only questions, is can I use my Kuat rack in 4 bikes mode or it is just too heavy ?

1 year with the hitch and I still love it. My only complain is the lock mechanism which I had to replace after the first winter Even if the rubber booth was well in place. Otherwise it is a great hitch that do not show when not in use.
Watched a video that was produced by Etrailer on the install and also followed the instructions. Install was fairly straight forward. The only issue was I have a Volvo V60 Cross Country which has the black plastic trim around the fenders and facia so the most difficult part was removing the facia because the trim around the rear fender well was impeding the removal of the facia and I had to be careful not to damage the trim. Install took me around 3 hours taking my time.
The hitch and installation more than exceeded my expectation, especially as my Volvo dealer said they couldn’t supply me with an OEM hitch. The installation went exactly as the video said it would. I was skeptical at first but not any more. Great quality hitch and and excellent idea of mounting behind the rear fender. The fact that the hitch itself is removable is a bonus. FYI the bottom of the hitch is about 10” from the ground when fitted and it extends about 2” from the rear so no issues with using my bike or cargo rack.
The order and the delivery went very smoothly. I received the hitch in 3 days with the free shipment in California .
Installed the hitch on Volvo S60 T8 R-Design 2019 model. The hitch fit perfectly without any additional modifications on the chassis . Once you remove the bumper it is 5min installation for the actual hitch.Volvo V60 (2019-2022) and Volvo S60-2019 to 2022 share the same rear bumper impact impact reinforcement bar.
There is just one small modification required for the radio antennas that are in the rear bumper. The are installed on a white plastic base . The base need to be shorten a bit. Overall the fit of the Stealth hitch is perfect.
Installed on my 2022 Volvo V60 Cross Country. The installation went almost exactly as described in the video and took about 2 hours. The hitch seems secure and is easy to attach and remove.
Was looking for a hitch that "disappeared" when I wasn't using it and this one fit the bill. Sturdy, easy to operate and SOLID!! Install was less than $400 by my mechanic.
Product itself was packed well and appears high quality, unfortunately I cannot give a better review since it arrived with the incorrect bag of fastening hardware, which I didn't discover until I was knee-deep in the installation, had the bumper parts off the car making it un-drivable. Had to find the replacement parts (serrated M10 flange nuts) at an auto parts store to get the car back together to be able to drive it. Haven't used it with a bike rack as intended yet, but it looks good and the receiver parts installed cleanly and appear sturdy.

Fantastic shipping to Canada took only 5 days. Hitch install was relatively straightforward with provided instructions and video on etrailer. Hardware was short two nylon 1/4 screws and nuts but a quick trip to HD solved that. This will work great for the bike rack.

After a year, the Stealth Hitch on my Volvo V60 is still working great. I love it.
Took me a half an hour to install with just regular tools. It's ultra secure, hidden, beefy, and convenient. I like it much better than the way over priced factory one that folds away electronically.
Totally invisible when the receiver is removed. Love it!
Fits perfect with great instructions! Took about 2 hours start to finish.
Excellent product great easy to follow directions. Hitch to no hitch in a few seconds.
Everything is fine. Excellent communication, prompt delivery service. Have not had it installed yet but assuming that is fine…will let you folks know!

Thank you for your review. The Max TW for this hitch is 350 lbs and from the pictures you provided it looks like you have the Kuat NV 2.0? That bike rack is 110lbs. So you will have to be very careful with your 4 bikes and weigh them precisely so you do not over extend the weight limit.
