Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit For Tandem Axle Equipment Trailer 35" Axle Spread

Question:
Contemplating installing the dexter equalizer kit on my equipment trailer with tandem 5.2k axles . The dimensions of the current equalizer shackle holes is 7-3/4 and axle centers are roughly 35. The K71-653-00 seems correct for my trailer and states a 8000 lb capacity. Am I correct in the assumtion that it is good up to 8000 PER AXLE,.. 16k total?

The Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 is the correct kit you will want for your tandem axle trailer Jerry. The 8,000lb rating is for up to the capacity for each axle.
