Question:
Hi, considering the redarc liberty brake controller. I have a 2018 F150 XLT 3.3L without the trailer package. I see the universal wiring connector would be used, I also see the brake trigger should not be connected to the brake pedal switch. Where on my truck would this be connected? Bob

Hi Bob; the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR is a great choice and my favorite brake controller. The red wire connects to the cold side of the stop light switch. This is the wire that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed. On your 2018 F-150 it will be a purple/white wire. Also, if you have a factory 4-way and don't have a 7-way you will need to add one using the # ETBC7.

Hey Bob, how did things go wiring the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty in your F-150? Did connecting to the purple/white wire on the stop light switch work as expected? Your update could make it easier for others doing the same setup.
