Has The Kuat Transfer V2 Recall Been Fixed

Does this include the upgrade part that was the fix for the issue found from the May 2024 recall?

Hey Josh,

We actually had to send back every Transfer V2 bike rack that we had at that time and Kuat sent us back the updated racks when this recall was going on so the # KU77FR would be good to go.

Hey Josh, did the updated Transfer V2 rack work out well after the recall fix? Knowing how it performed could help others who are checking for the same update.

@KateF Yes the updated part was easy to install and has worked well. It makes it a bit harder to fold back up, but if it prevents losing the bike it is well worth it.

@JoshW You definitely don't want to lose a bike Josh! Glad you went with Kuat. I actually got to help out at their tent at an outdoor expo recently, I had a lady tell me that she bought her rack in 2004 and just finally had an arm go out, she called Kuat and they not only sent her the one broken arm but sent the other one as well so they would match. Great company, you will be their customer for life, kind of like etrailer =) I hope you have a safe and fun time ringing in the New Year! May 2026 bring you many awesome adventures!!
