Not at all, the procedure is really very simple. You'd use pliers to remove the existing Hog or Retainer Ring, remove the old washer (if present) and remove the existing roller. Install the new roller, replace the # CE10983 washer and install a new # CE10981 retaining ring by slipping it over the shaft and crimping it with pliers. This roller is designed to work on a 3/4 inch diameter shaft.
