Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/02/2024

Question:

I bought a new Reese 16k sidewinder hitch on marketplace not realizing that there are different size turrets and the one I bought didn’t fit so the mount on my camper is 11-3/4 wide inside diameter and the bolt holes are approximately 7-7/8 apart 6 hole on each side just trying to find wich turret I need to purchase?

Hi Jeremy,

We don't offer any replacement turrets for Sidewinders like # RP34FR, and I can tell you there aren't any that fit an 11-3/4" wide pin box with bolt holes 7-7/8" apart. There are some that are close, like the Lippert 1621, which has a 12" wide pin box, though you'll need more than that to get the right turret.

You'll also need to know the vertical distance between the bolt holes to get the right one, and for the Lippert 1621 that's 2". I have added a link below to a help article which details the measurements needed and I recommend taking a look at it.

Hey Jeremy, were you able to get the vertical bolt hole measurement for your pin box after checking that help article? Knowing what you found could really help others trying to match a turret for their Sidewinder hitch.
