Question:

I have a opportunity to purchase a useed ST400-SW01 sidewinder hitch pin but have a Lippet pin box 1621. I know this is not the designed application for this P/N but was wondering what the differences are and if some small modifications would allow it to work? Thanks.

Expert Reply:

The Lippert pin box 1621 has a different design and bolt pattern so it requires a different turret than what is on # ST400-5AS16K. If the turret you have uses 4 bolts to mount to the arm, then you can just swap the turret for the right one, # RP61300.

The only other option would be to replace the entire unit with # RP34FR. I have included a video for you to view that shows a typical installation.
